It's 2008, NOT 1978. If you are seriously considering buying a chain link fence, is it because you think it is going to be cheaper than wood one? MOST TIMES YOU ARE WRONG. Our 4-foot high picket fences are usually the same cost if not slightly less than a chain link fence.

Maybe you want one because you have a nice view that you do not want to obstruct with a privacy fence. Well then, a wood picket fence is the perfect solution to your needs. Chain link fences should NEVER be used for RESIDENTIAL houses ANYMORE! Resale value BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY CURB APPEAL of your house should be ALSO TAKEN GREATLY INTO CONSIDERATION. And for these reasons, chain link fences are a thing of the past!
